Lets see.... 1- Started with flip books with my brother. We made a whole series of "Stick Figure Kung Fu" that I still daydream about remaking now and then. 2- Moved on to stop motion animation with a borrowed camera from the kid down the street. 3- High School...got access to a Video Toas...

I've been doing some similar experiments with natural props to build scenes...I've got models I'm using for trees, bushes, etc. (admittedly, its a pretty limited library) that I'm importing into groups and using to assemble new scenes. Its amazing what you can get away with if you just scale, flip, ...

One thing that always identifies the difference between experienced and unexperienced animators is economy of movement, which oddly enough could be considered a "cheat" as well by certain people. I've seen many animations (both on the internet and broadcast) which are obvious that the anim...

I actually attacked this puzzle a while ago (forgive me but I'm away from my home PC so I don't have examples). I'll try and break it down into a couple of steps. 1) Import your image into Anime Studio. 2) Duplicate the image layer, and resize the layer on top to 90% of the origional size. 3) Create...

I think the comunity that was built (dating all the way back to the old Moho days) surrounding this software has been all the difference for me. Honestly, I've lurked through a lot of forums over the last few years (which seems necessary these days as more companies are resorting to user-forums as t...

Rasheed - Looking at it, I can see your point. In the 3/4 view it looks like she's got a really large indentation on the philtrum since the lips pull too far to the right. That eye line was killing me...I couldn't get it to straighten out enough to my satisfaction (thank goodness the back one is hid...

My first stab at the infamous turning head.

I've seen people talking about building a turning head for characters, so I took a stab at it using switch layers. Basically its a single switch layer with three states: profile, 3/4 view, and full front. http://www.studiojer.com/aninm.html Opinions, suggestions, headaches? ...now to make her speak.

PNG Rendered file support opacity problem

Hi there- It looks like there is a problem with how Anime Studio (5.5) is rendering the alpha channel when a file is saved in the .png format. Here is an example of the problem in .png: http://www.studiojer.com/images/test.png In case that doesn't render correctly in some browsers, here is a screeng...

Okay, here's a crazy idea (I'm at my office computer, so I can't test this in moho to make sure it'll work right...but maybe I'll build a demo when I get home if its needed.) Step 1: Build a gradient aura or light streak coming from your source...in this case, it would be the glow around the moon. M...
