(I'm working on a Mac ...) Not a solution, but a faster workaround: could you render the scene with the top half of the layers set invisible, then import the video file into a copy of that scene, erase the now unnecessary bottom layers and set the top layers visible again? yeah i see what you're sa...

Images not found due to memory or cache management problem
We have characters made up of PNG files. All images used are valid, non-corrupt, and working 100% fine in Anime Studio. Characters use switch layers for things like mouth shapes and different angles of the head/body/etc. When we have multiple characters in a scene, eventually we get the broken image...

Ability to "reference" Anime Studio files
I know this won't be a useful feature for many people for a variety of reasons, but it WOULD be useful for some people in some cases. The ability to reference one .anme file into another, second, .anme file the same way that a program like Maya references files would be a huge time saver in producti...

It would be great to see what file is being referenced on an image layer in the "image" tab, above/below the "Source Image..." button. Why? If an image is missing from the expected directory, Anime Studio displays the broken image icon, telling you something's wrong. When browsin...

sorry, i should have specified that i'm specifically working with photo-based character puppets in this case adding a new mouth shape for me is just adding a new photo to the mouth's Switch Layer. i can see how referencing vector- and point-based material could get messy, though adjusting CVs in a M...

...let's say there are a bunch of animators working on many scenes, all containing a common character... Anime Studio isn't designed for these environments. Perhaps just as well, or it would be a damn sight more expensive. ok...let's say i have my single character in several already-animated scenes...

one of the main uses I can think of is as follows: let's say there are a bunch of animators working on many scenes, all containing a common character. for whatever reason, a new mouth shape is made for the character and put into a switch layer in the main rig. now, once they reopen their file, every...

Referencing an .anme file and having it update?
Is there a way to import or reference multiple .anme files into a single scene so that they get updated within the scene when the individual files are adjusted?
This would be like referencing in a program like Maya.
Thanks, this would really help in a production situation.
