Thank you for replying. I've checked all the layers and except for the clouds-- which was intentional-- nothing is animating. I have been using camera tracking and the layers are set by true distance and depth. I've tried changing these settings too, but it still doesn't seem to fix the problem. In ...

3D perspective in AS 6

Using 2D objects, I have a simple golf course set up, the grass rotated by its x axis to be at ground level, and use camera tracking to zoom in on the golf hole. But if I put a tree behind it, this happens while zooming in: http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/3551/tree1s.jpg Evidently, the golf hole ...

Okay, I think I figured it out. It seems it was indeed fading away, but that fading only shows up on the preview. Otherwise it looks like it just suddenly cuts off. That's slightly bothersome, but eh. :? Thanks for your help. :D

I've tried that, as well as for the group layer and individual layers. It doesn't work for some reason. Does it matter that the individual particle sublayers have different opacity levels?

Make all particles fade away

So I've finally decided to dive into the exciting world of particle layers and created a smoke effect. I know how to make the particles end by fading away, but how do I do that and then make them ALL fade away at the same time? I'm trying to make one character breathe out smoke for a few moments and...

I really love that character design. Great job on that. :D I'm assuming you want to create an exaggerated pimp walk. Have you tried looking at references? From what I know, a stereotype pimp walk-- at least a funny looking one-- is pretty much just exaggerating every gesture. One of the craziest pim...

I was hoping there was another simpler/lazier way since creating a cycle is still a bit of a challenge for me and I'd rather not deal with more key frames, but alrighty. lol There's no specific reason why I create the actions separately actually, since I'm just experimenting and don't plan to reuse ...

Feet won't stay in place between actions

Hello, me again, with yet another question. So I've been messing around with actions and am currently try to make a double bounce walk cycle, the second one from here: https://www.killeenisd.org/schools/high/harkerheights/cga_pictures/walks_blair.png HOWEVER, when it's all put together and usually a...

You can always create a "Mr Bean"-style thick line around the edge of a character using a shadow with zero offset. There's an idea! That would also be good when something like an arm goes from an inner line into an outline. I've never tried using the shadow effect yet, but I'll have to tr...

To speak in my defense as a noob, even though I've always liked animating, I've never really gotten to use a good animation program. Only recently have I gotten my hands on a full blown animation program, which evidently is Anime Studio PRO. It's a big leap from using simple animation programs to a ...

Lines of different widths welded together

I've found that if you try to weld two lines together of different widths, the lines end up being tapered and distorted looking-- they no longer become independent widths. What I'm personally trying to do is have a thick outline of a character and make the internal lines thinner. Is there any way to...

Wow, I can't believe I didn't think of any of that. Thank you for the great tips! :D I couldn't figure out why the "smooth" setting for the first frame caused that small, but noticeable, pause. I still don't know why it does that, but the linear setting has solved that problem. :)

Side scrolling background?

You know how in the cartoons, like the Flinstones, the side scrolling background cycles and you see the same background over and over? My question is how can you do that on Anime Studio? I know to make a background side scroll smoothly it has to start and end with the same picture. And it also has t...

AH, you're right! I did think it was the order of the shapes for a while, but rearranging them didn't work the first time for some reason. Maybe I forgot to do something crucial, I dunno. :? But I've got it now! Thank you all for your help. :D
