yeah, sorry I didn't specify. I knew I could select and drag the keyframes, but what if I have like 500 keyframes that need to be moved? Is there no way to just select a frame and add extra frames right there so that all the keyframes after it shift back?

shifting keyframes

let's say you've created a project, and you decide that somewhere in the middle you want some scene or camera move to last longer. How do I insert extra keyframes in the middle so that it will push the rest of the keyframes back, essentially lengthening the project from the middle?

could you elaborate on the lua scripts? I'm not really familiar with what "switch layers" means, unless that's just a generic term for switching between layers. Sorry, I'm a supernewb.

masking

is there a general masking tutorial somewhere? the lost marble tutorial on layer masking is very specific to a certain effect, but doesn't really explain the logic behind masking, in general terms. I understand what it's used for, but using it doesn't make sense to me.

moho->bink

anyone tried getting a moho project into a bink video? I'm wondering about the nice and fancy full screen bink .exe's that are often used for video game gameplay footage and such. I downloaded the rad game tools, but all I can get it to do is take an already compressed video and re-compress it into ...

great, thanks.

i'll probably end up just using the video editor to composite the text in later since I'm only using basic text (fade in/fade out).

oh yeah, two other things I forgot to ask: How do you edit text after you've already entered it? I couldn't figure out how to get back into the text dialog without it adding the edited text right on top of the original text. And also, how do you enter multiple lines of text, like an entire paragraph...

text

i'm new to moho and i'm playing around with text. It was a bit confusing at first, since it's not quite like most text editors, so I wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly. As far as I can tell, you insert text into a "vector layer", but you don't create a shape out of it? I tried us...

myles, My initial thought was to use a video editor, and I tried out the entire gamut of them, but moho is definitely both cheaper and more efficient. I'm thinking I might try about 30 seconds of animation per .moho file, which will probably include around 5-10 separate shots, each consisting of 1-4...

thanks, slowtiger, but I think I'm pretty happy with moho thus far (and $500 is a bit steep for this). I don't actually need to do any painting at all, the finished product will be black & white. I don't think I'll be able to use after effects, because I want to pan and zoom with depth, so as fa...

oh, woops, I re-read that and understand now that the opacity fade you were referring to was to create the image fade in/out effect. Any idea as to how to create the depth of field focus trick I mentioned above?

thanks a lot myles. I've been messing around with the demo for the past couple of hours and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. It's amazing how easy and intuitive moho is. I was immediately able to start moving layers around and keyframing (a much easier process than toonboom) and it seems like i...

which program would be best suited...

I'm jumping into a large scale animation project with a few people, and we're trying to narrow down to the most efficient program for the style of animation that we'll be doing. Essentially, the project will use exclusively scanned, hand-drawn, black & white pencil art. The "animation"...
