Library PNG files

Need some help. In my library files that I save it isn't working right at all. If I hit the + button to add a file. It will add, and I get a picture on the thumbnail, but if I double click it, I get a blank area on the preview before accepting it. I really would like to preview what I have in there ...

3d layering issue.

I am having trouble with AS 9.2. I just made a 3d object in blender. Exported as an obj. Uploaded into AS all fine. What I am trying to do now is put a vector drawing layer in front of it. When I do this and rotate both layers, or rotate the group layer they are together in, the vector layer is alwa...

Mikdog thanks

It worked to move the layer in the group.

Problem is when I move the layer, the object in the layer becomes unmasked.

Yet it is still selected as add to mask.

Any ideas anyone?

Simple layer sorting question

Ok I feel like I am relearning everything here. In new AS 6 did they change how to move a layer in the timeline? Here is what I have, a bone layer, 3 layers in it. Head line (for masking), a nose, and the Head (full color). At some point I want the nose to flip back behind the head as in a head turn...

Ok this thread gave me a huge headache. If I reask anything others said please forgive me. One is there a list of real changes to AS6 from 5? Also with that is there tutorials from SM on how to use the new features. I did see Vern had some and very thankful for that. One major feature I am wondering...

Ok sorry I haven't been on the site in a long time. Had medical stuff and then Version 6 came out. I am wondering when the fix will be out, and also how will it effect the work arounds people are talking about. I would really like to try to get back in and work on some chacters I had in AS5 and look...

synthsin, Wow you made a lot of advancements. I did finally figure how the hand worked to a point. I am using it in the builds I been working on. The 3D look is so nice to have, makes it look more like hand drawn then flash. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see how you worked out the extra de...

Well see if I can find it, will be the first time I download a scripit too. Just will save time. Does that work for just one layer at a time or does it do everything that is subbed under that layer?

heyVern,

what is jEdit? I am not great with code but are you basically saying there would be a faster way then having say 4 mouths switch layers and inserting the Data sound file in each manually?

Inserting Key Frames for tons of layers.

Ok I am sure this is a script question but does anyone know a way to space out stuff you already did? I need to add a second in the middle of something I already did. Would like to just push it all so many frames over but not sure if there is a way to do this fast. Thanks for the help on this, you g...

Thanks Synth, That is great info, will have to try to get a better system at some point. A trick I do to save myself when using split curve is save right before it at least that way I won't lose everything I did before it. Really for any script this seems to be a good practice. I haven't used any th...

Vern saw you refer to this thread in another post, and it is what I have been doing the last few days. I love how this saves time to make switch layers. One question though if you ran into it, when you have a more circular shape, like say a base to a candle stick that has legs, and it is moving arou...

I get that on the split curve too, it is easy to reproduce. Take a circle, and do 4 split on it. Basically if the points become to small to get the right number it will close the program. If you do 3 it sames to always work.

Using odd space points on a unique shap can do it too.

thanks that did it, never thought of trying that with the keyframe marks. Kept trying with the points, what would just reset everything.

This works good, saves me hours.

I don't think I made myself clear.

Basically if you draw something on frame 5 can you make that drawing at frame 5, to frame 0?
